# What You’ll Need:

→ Fruit & Vegetables

01 - 2 canned or poached pear halves, drained
02 - 4 large lettuce leaves
03 - 1 medium carrot, peeled

→ Dairy

04 - 4 tablespoons cottage cheese

→ Garnish & Decorations

05 - 8 mini raisins or currants
06 - 4 sliced almonds
07 - 4 maraschino cherries or red grapes
08 - 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)

# How To Make:

01 - Arrange lettuce leaves on four small plates to create a bed for each bunny salad.
02 - Place pear halves cut-side down on lettuce leaves, positioning the narrow end toward the front.
03 - Mound cottage cheese at the wider end of each pear. Add mayonnaise dab if extra fluffiness desired.
04 - Slice carrot into thin rounds. Use paring knife to cut small feet and whisker shapes from rounds.
05 - Press sliced almonds into the wider end of each pear half to form upright ears.
06 - Place two raisins or currants for eyes. Position a cherry or grape at the front for the nose.
07 - Arrange carrot feet beneath the pear body. Add whiskers near the nose. Serve immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It turns ordinary fruit into something that makes everyone smile before they even take a bite
  • Ready in 15 minutes but looks like you spent way more effort on it than you actually did
02 -
  • Work quickly once you start assembling because the cottage cheese can make the pears weep and get watery if they sit too long
  • These really need to be served immediately after assembly, so have everything prepped and your plates ready before you start building
03 -
  • Pat your pear halves dry with paper towels before starting to help everything stick better and prevent sogginess
  • If your almonds keep falling out, use a tiny dab of honey or cream cheese as glue to anchor them in place
