# How To Make:

- In a small bowl, mix vegan mayonnaise, minced chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, lime juice, and salt. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
- In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher, leaving some texture for hearty consistency.
- Add the red onion, garlic, oats, breadcrumbs, cilantro, tomato paste, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties. If the mixture is too wet, add extra breadcrumbs as needed.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and heated through.
- Toast the burger buns if desired for added texture.
- Spread chipotle mayo on each bun, add a black bean patty, then top with lettuce, tomato, onion, and avocado as desired.
- Serve immediately with sweet potato fries or a crisp salad.
