01 - Peel and slice the bananas into ½-inch thick rounds.
02 - In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and ground cinnamon until well blended.
03 - Place the unsalted butter in a nonstick skillet and heat over medium heat until melted and foamy.
04 - Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the skillet. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the tops of the bananas.
05 - Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the undersides are golden brown and caramelized.
06 - Carefully flip the banana slices and cook for an additional 2 minutes until the second side is golden and caramelized.
07 - Remove from heat immediately. Serve warm as-is, or garnish with chopped nuts, a drizzle of honey or maple syrup, or a dollop of Greek yogurt or scoop of vanilla ice cream.
